  • The satisfaction of empowering children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve more with their lives through care and education, both overseas and here in NZ.
  • Confidence that 100 per cent of your money goes directly to the cause through trusted and proven channels. (Because it’s voluntarily run, there are no administration costs).
  • Complete freedom about how much, how often or for how long you wish to contribute - no amount is too small, from one-off payments to regular contributions – a little goes a long way.
  • A chance to direct your funds to a specific cause you believe in.  We can help you find a local or international cause that matches what you want to achieve with your donation.
  • Feedback from recipients that lets you know the specific difference you’re making.
  • Direct access via phone and email to The Empowerment Project administrators.

ASB The Empowerment Project

12 3107 0001365 00

After travelling in Tanzania and Kenya we became involved in taking support and supplies directly to local families and schools.  We realised how effective some hands on direct support could be  to the education and future of children living with disadvantage within the communities, internationally and in New Zealand.  By not diluting the donations with high running costs, we are able to give every dollar direct to the intended cause.
The Empowerment Project New Zealand (where every dollar supports the local communities) and The Empowerment Project International are the result - registered charities with all the checks and balances that involves, under the direction of experienced professionals, but without the administration costs and overheads that could dilute your contribution.

The Empowerment Project will support a variety of hand-picked projects where we can verify the need, the motivation and credibility of those involved and the certainty of funds making a real difference to those in need.
Internationally we contribute to a preschool and families within the community of Moshi, including regular food support, and sponsoring children in the local community

We are also now involved in an Earthbag rebuild programme in one of the hardest hit areas of Nepal where we hope to get more hands on in the future.

Locally we support programmes that are working with foster children and former refugees families and schools .

Basically we go where we find a need and have a direct access to the cause.  Our donors contribute to where they choose and in a way that works for them.
